Our roots…

In 2004, Fairview Health System fired their Big Three PBM. As a non-profit, patient-focused health system, Fairview could not tolerate the PBM’s profit-driven approach and deceptive spread pricing. When Fairview learned what the PBM was charging for drugs and what they were pocketing, Fairview knew they could do better, so they created their own PBM – ClearScript.

This move sparked a revolution in pharmacy benefits. Other health systems and employer groups sought the same transparency and cost-effective, patient-centric care, and ClearScript expanded our services to meet their needs.

Today, almost 20 years later, our commitment to high-touch service, quality patient care, and transparency remains unwavering. Our story serves as a testament to the power of innovation and demand for patient-centric care.
